Dr. Jemchang Fabong
MBBS, FMCFM, PGPN (Boston)
Dr. Jemchang Yildam Fabong is the current Managing Director/CEO of Peramare HMO. A trained physician and development expert, he brings over 19 years of experience in clinical practice and health program leadership across Nigeria’s sub-national and national health sectors.
He previously served as Director of Health Financing for the USAID Integrated Health Program (IHP), leading efforts to improve access to quality, affordable healthcare for women, children, and vulnerable populations in multiple states. As the pioneer Director-General of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA), he played a key role in advancing Universal Health Coverage in Plateau State.
Dr. Fabong is a graduate of the University of Jos and a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (Family Medicine). He also holds qualifications in leadership, governance, and pediatric nutrition from institutions including the University of Global Health Equity, Boston University, and Pan-Atlantic University.
A Board Member of the Faculty of Family Medicine, he is actively involved in postgraduate medical training and examinations. His professional interests include health financing, financial risk protection, and equitable distribution of human resources for health. He is known for his strong research background, strategic leadership, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Abubakar Shuaibu Abarshi
CNA, ACTI, CITM, CCrFA
Abubakar Shuaibu Abarshi is the Group Head of Admin & Finance at Peramare HMO. An experienced finance analyst, Treasury manager, and logistics specialist with 17 years of expertise in various sectors, he specializes in asset management, financial planning, stock control, and corporate financial strategy.
Holding a Master’s in Treasury Management from Bayero University Kano and a Bachelor’s in Financial Management from Zenith University, Ghana, he is a certified member of ANAN, CITN and the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Fraud Investigator of Nigeria.
He plays a key role in optimizing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving administrative efficiency within Peramare HMO.
Dr. Nabila Shehu
Dr. Nabila Shehu is a consultant family physician with a strong background in preventive medicine and women’s health. She earned a Biology/Pre-medicine degree from Kennesaw State University and a medical degree from Ross University and completed her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident.
After practicing in the U.S. for several years, she relocated to Abuja, where she currently contributes her expertise to Peramare Medical. Her focus includes patient-centered care, public health advocacy, and medical research, particularly in chronic disease prevention.
Dr. Asiya Sulaiman
Dr. Asiya Sulaiman is a medical professional with an MBBS from Gulf Medical University, UAE. She has experience in internal medicine, particularly endocrinology and dermatology.
She previously worked at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital and is a member of ARD and NMA. Her contributions to medical research and involvement in health awareness programs have helped advance knowledge in metabolic disorders and dermatological health.
Joseph Odoh
Joseph Odoh is a health professional with 18 years of experience in clinical practice and health insurance. Holding a Master’s in Epidemiology and a BSc in Human Physiology from Ahmadu Bello University, he has expertise in project development, big data analytics, customer experience, and cybersecurity.
As a member of the Physiological Association of Nigeria, he has led initiatives in fraud claims management and operational risk assessment, improving health service delivery in the insurance sector.
Dr. Rabiatu Tabari Zaria
Dr. Rabiatu Tabari Zaria is a medical professional with an MBBS from Ibn Sina University, Sudan. She has worked at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Staff Medical Center, and Limi Hospital.
A member of ARD and MWAN, she holds life support and public health certifications. Passionate about healthcare accessibility, she actively engages in medical outreach programs, community health education, and public health research.
Pharm. Fatima Abubakar Gambo
Pharm. Fatima Abubakar Gambo is a pharmacist with a PharmD from Gulf Medical University, UAE. She has a background in clinical and community pharmacy and international clinical research.
She holds a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at Ahmadu Bello University. Her expertise spans quality assurance, drug safety monitoring, and regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.
Ifunanya Mary Okoro
Ifunanya Mary Okoro is a legal practitioner with 11 years of experience spanning law, finance, investment, cybersecurity, and human resources. She holds a Law degree from Madonna University and certifications from the Institute of Strategic Management and ADR.
She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. Her expertise includes corporate governance, legal risk assessment, and contract negotiation, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence within Peramare HMO.
